Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson, formerly known as Ashley Nicole Simpson, was born in October 3, 1984, and is the younger sister of pop sensation Jessica Simpson. She made her claim to fame with her debut album ‘Autobiography’ which topped the charts for a long time. Her reality series called the ‘The Ashlee Simpson Show’ also became very famous, as did her second album ‘I and Me’. Following the release of her third album, she married musician Pete Wentz and gave birth to his child on November 20, 2008. Apart from being a singer, she is also a lyrics writer and actress.

Ashlee Simpson started off her career as a backup dancer for her sister’s music videos. She also appeared in a few movies and television series including the sitcom ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ and the family drama ‘7th Heaven’. Ashlee bagged the “Song of the Summer” Teen Choice Award for “Pieces of Me” and the “Fresh Face” award at the Teen Choice Awards in August, 2004. Ashlee Simpson also won the ‘New Female Artist of the Year’ at the Billboard Award Function in December, the same year. The Entertainment Weekly Magazine gave her the title of the ‘Breakout Star of 2004’
