Kagana Ranawat
Kangana Ranaut was born on March 20, 1987 in Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh to a Hindi speaking Rajput family. Her father is a businessman whilst her mother was a school teacher. Kangana joined DAV’s High school for her school education. Kanagana was an active girl in her school in extracurricular activities. She used to participate in Elocutions, basket-ball games and debates. Later she joined Science College, Shimla as well as she got admission in Elite School of Modelling to make a career in modelling and acting. In 2003, she moved to Delhi and joined Asmita Theatre group where she performed in Rakt-Kalyan, a play written by Girish Karnad under the direction of prominent theatre personality Arvind Gaur. Later she did some more plays with Asmita Group.
In the film, she renowned image amazingly and showed her versatile talent. She has won several prestigious awards including two Filmfare Awards along with National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Gangster (2006) & Fashion (2008) respectively.
