Adriana Lima Biography

Adriana Francesca Lima comes into the world on 12th 1981 in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. The blue-eyed Brazilian beauty owes her exotic appearance to her extremely rich blood mixture, including French, Portuguese, Native-American, and Caribbean heritage.
Her successful path to stardom begins when she wins the second place in the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest at the age of 13. Three years later Adriana moves to New York and signs with Elite Model Management. Once there, her portfolio starts increasing exponentially. After her appearance in Vogue (Italy) in 1997 she gets multiple invitations to adorn the covers of Vogue (UK), I-D (UK), Marie Claire (Brazil), and Vogue (Italy) in 1998. Adriana also appears in Vogue (U.S., Germany, UK) and Marie Claire (Italy) in 1999.
For the Vogue photo sessions she presents top-knotch designers such as Cynthia Rowley, Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Betsey Johnson, Girls Rule, Richard Tyler, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Randolph Duke, Ralph Lauren, and Valentino.
After her participation at elevision's Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2001 and 2003 her rating escalates to a considerable extent. In 2001 Adriana marks her first movie appearance: in The Hire: Follow where she co-stars Mickey Rourke.
