Celebrity-Ryan Gosling

Name
Ryan Gosling
Date of Birth
November 12, 1980
Birth Place
London, Ontario

Women still swoon for Ryan Gosling's Notebook character Noah in the tear-jerking hit love story, but critics are more impressed by his knack for edgier roles: a Jewish neo-Nazi, a serial killer, and an inner-city junior high teacher with a drug addiction in Half Nelson.
His complicated performance in the 2006 indie made Gosling the second youngest Best Actor Oscar nominee (right behind John Travolta, 24, for Saturday Night Fever). But overshadowing Gosling's big night was the absence of girlfriend and Notebook costar Rachel McAdams, whose offscreen romance rivaled their fictional counterparts.
The Canadian hunk, who got his start as a Disney Mouseketeer, has continued to challenge himself on screen, with roles in 2007's Lars and the Real Girl (he played a man in love with a doll), 2010's award-worthy flick Blue Valentine, and the box office darling Crazy, Stupid, Love, which cemented his status as a leading man.
