US Women’s Gymnastics team take Gold medal

For the first time in 16 years, the American Women are the Gold Medal winners!
After leading on Sunday’s qualifying rounds, the “Fab Five” didn’t waiver today, sticking every landing and flying high to grab the Gold. Jordyn Wieber, the reigning World Champ, who was shut-out of the All Around Championship, told the press after wards, “Today was pretty good redemption. I was pretty disappointed (after Sunday). I knew I had to mentally turn it around for the team.”
“I think this is a more even team with their performances,” Legendary coach Bela Karolyi said of the Fab Five. “The 1996 team had ups and downs.”
Congrats to gymnasts McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Alexandra Raisman, Gabrielle Douglas, Jordyn Weiber on their Gold Medal.
