Christina Maria Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980, to parents Jim, a
military father of Ecuadorian descent, and Shelly, an Irish
professional violinist/pianist. Growing up with her brothers and sisters
in Wexford, Pennsylvania, Christina always knew that she wanted to be a
performer. In her early 20s, this blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty got
more than she bargained for. This former Mouseketeer rubbed the charts
the right way with the catchy single "Genie In A Bottle," and followed
up her success with a tribute to her Latin roots, the album Mi Reflejo.
Her 2006 album, Back to Basics, sold more than 3.5 million copies. And
who can forget that lesbian kiss with Madonna at the 2003 MTV Video
Music Awards or those chaps that she sported in her "Dirrty" music
video?
