Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony to split

Jennifer Lopez, right, and her husband Marc Anthony laugh before a Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony for entertainment producer Simon Fuller in Los Angeles on May 23.

After seven years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony have announced they will divorce.
"We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision," Lopez's publicist announced in a statement on Friday.
"We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
The pair, both of whom are actors and singers, were one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples. The split was a surprise to many observers as they appeared together so regularly.
They have three-year-old twins together and recently announced a reality TV project, Q'Viva, they planned to make together this fall.
That program, in which they travel the world to highlight the best of Latin music and dance, is still scheduled to go ahead, with both performers on board.

Lopez released her latest album, titled Love?, this year and also began as a judge on American Idol, a position that renew her past popularity. When Anthony performed on the show, she danced in the background.
