Madonna

Madonna started out with a bang in 1984 with the single ‘Like A Virgin’ and ‘True Blue’ in 1986. Her appearance in the 1985 movies ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’ was received with some acclaim. Madonna played the role of ‘Evita’ in 1996 and was awarded the Golden Globe for acting and the number ‘You Must love Me’ won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe.
Madonna’s 1998 work ‘Ray of Light’ and 2005 ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ were well received. The latter received an Emmy. The 2008 album ‘Hard Candy’ was another hit. The diva is considered to be a best-selling artist of the century and has featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2007.
 Madonna pictures splashed all over for her controversial adoption of a poverty ridden child from Malawi with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
