The baby is due later this year. Taye, who stars on the hit ABC show, Private Practice star, 38, and the Tony award-winning actress, 37, first met on the original 1996 Broadway production of Rent in NYC. They got married in January 2003 after seven years of dating.
The Menzel hinted to Us last January that once she finished promoting her third solo album, I Stand, she would consider starting a family with Diggs and becoming one of many pregnant celebrities.There is a great chance that this baby will be a celebrity baby, with parents like Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel.“He’s always wanted kids. He grew up with four younger brothers and sisters, so he’s very comfortable around children.”
So how do they keep their marriage together? “We just really work hard to try to stay best friends,” Menzel told Us. “I love him so much, and I feel like we both have each other’s backs, and we have a great respect for each other. We’re enjoying each new phase of our lives together.”
